Tigers 48, Panthers 9
“Feels like a great week to get overconfident about the issues we saw last week in Happy Valley being fixed, if I'm being honest. Don't expect to see much more than we saw against Alabama State in terms of motivation. Maybe the afternoon kick will help. But you cannot expect this team to come out firing on all cylinders with this game sandwiched between two massive road games.
The hope in this one is just get your playmakers out of there early. I don't want to see Owen, Colby, Bo, or Tank after halftime. I'm fine if Zakoby just chills in warm up gear all game! Just do what is necessary early to get your legs ready for Baton Rouge.
Georgia State is a primarily run based team, so our secondary isn't going to be given much of a chance to showcase any improvement, but what I do want to see is calls getting in from the sideline to our defense much quicker this week. We need to see substitutions flow more smoothly. Without laying blame anywhere, because we really don't know the source of why it was a problem last week, that had more to do with losing to Penn State than we're talking about, and needs to be fixed before you go under the lights in Death Valley. ”
