“I'm ready to be hurt again. Auburn has not won a meaningful road game since 2014 at Ole Miss, and in match-ups against LSU, Georgia, and Alabama are a combined 3-21 since 2005. That period reaches through 3 different head coaches at Auburn. For Auburn to reverse this trend, it starts Saturday, in an environment that will be comparable to a Saturday night in Death Valley or the Swamp in 2019. This is a winnable game for Auburn, and based on what I'd like to believe I am picking the Tigers against my gut based on disappointments that reach back 15 years. Context has always mattered to me, especially in terms of college football. The past can tell you a lot of truths about who you are and who you are going to be. That being said, I'm going out on a limb here after seeing this team play 2 overmatched opponents and betting on Bryan Harsin. He desperately needs to deliver here, if for no other reason than to give us all some hope headed into Baton Rouge and beyond. It's time Auburn got right on the road. They'll have another opportunity to change their narrative in 2 weeks regardless of outcome, but with a national viewership watching, this is the opportunity Bryan Harsin will have in year 1 to showcase what he wants his program to be. ”
