"Sheldon Keefe coached three full seasons in Toronto, and delivered point totals of 115, 111, and 102. The Devils significantly upgraded their goaltending this offseason, and Jack Hughes is finally recovered from a shoulder injury that limited him last year. Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec should continue to improve on defense. More importantly is Keefe, who knows how to maximize good regular season performances from young star players. This team is in good shape to cruise over this number so long as they stay healthy. With the weakness in the Metropolitan Division as well, they should be able to pick up a lot of points against middling teams like Pittsburgh, Columbus, Washington, and the Islanders."
