The Lightning got younger this offseason, and Jake Guentzel is better than Steven Stamkos at this point. The Senators finally have a goalie in Linus Ullmark. Even in the wild card race, New Jersey got Markstrom. The Leafs big offseason moves were to overpay two defenseman over the age of 30 and swap Tyler Bertuzzi’s 21 goals for Max Pacioretty’s 4. Oh, and Auston Matthews likely isn’t scoring 69 goals again. This price is absurdly high for a thoroughly mediocre team."
