“Sometimes the preseason says plenty. These were two of the worst offenses all August, from the games to the practice reports. Joe Burrow's timing, accuracy and confidence all figure to be impacted by his time off recovering from an ACL tear. While the Bengals' offensive line issues have been somewhat overblown -- I'd take them over the Vikings' line! -- this is a brutal Week 1 matchup against a Minnesota front with four excellent starters, none of whom were around a year ago. Cincinnati's defense could also be sneaky good and match up well, so I feel more confident in this being a low-scoring affair than I do about the Vikings covering three points on the road. ”...

“Minnesota's overhauled secondary will struggle against Burrow, whose accuracy and ability to scramble will lead him to three passing touchdowns, keeping this game close until the final moments. Vikings' kicker Greg Joseph, who hasn't kicked in a game since the end of the 2019 season, will nail a 50-plus-yarder to lift Minnesota past Cincinnati.”...

“I'm really not sure why this game only has a -3.5 for MIN. Key starters didn't play at all in the preseason, and with a new OC, are we surprised they held back nearly every trick in the offensive playbook? Danielle Hunter will have a massive return to the field, and look for Dalvin Cook to have a nice outing. Bengals will struggle early this year as Burrow and Chase try to find their groove.”...

“Bengals QB Joe Burrow will be making his official return from a season-ending knee injury in 2020. He'll try to exploit a Minnesota secondary that surrendered big passing plays in 2020, while Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will look to exploit the Bengals' run defense. ”...
